As President and Owner of Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, I assist business and franchise owners to confidentially market and sell their businesses. I bring 30 years of Owner/Operator experience to my role, giving me a unique perspective for business brokerage. Having been a business owner for many years, I understand the effort, sacrifice, and dedication that goes into running a successful business. I’m passionate about helping other business owners accomplish their goals. Those looking to buy or sell a business come to me for my knowledge of financial information, how businesses operate, and what makes them successful.
Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer of Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, I help business owners determine the value of their businesses. My primary role is a business advisor as well as a business valuation analyst, both of which involve creating a clear picture of what businesses are worth. Scott and I have a 30-year professional relationship built upon honesty and integrity, two traits I consider essential to good business.
As a Business Advisor for Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, I am directly involved with helping people looking to buy or sell a business. My experience has included being a commodity trader and investor for a private company based in Oregon, and working for a full service brokerage and investment firm in Minnesota.
I graduated with a degree in business from a private college in Minnesota. While running my own business in college, I found my passion for business entrepreneurship. This passion has grown into a desire to help business owners who are looking to sell and move on to the next phase of life, as well as helping entrepreneurs and prospective buyers find what suits them. In my free time, I enjoy being in the outdoors, camping, hiking, and playing sports.
Marv Soldner brings an enthusiasm for sharing the knowledge and experience he’s curated throughout his 40-year career. As someone who’s experienced in and fascinated by all areas of business, Marv enjoys providing tailored, one-on-one advising to clients on all things business related. Having held numerous positions within the same company, from General Manager and VP of Sales & Marketing to Chief Operating Officer and President, Marv is accustomed to approaching business from many angles – a skill he brings to his role as a Transworld Business Advisor.
When he’s not working, Marv volunteers for several business-focused mentorship programs and spends time with his wife Janet and their eleven grandchildren.
Dan Huber brings over 30 years of business experience to his role as a Transworld Business Advisor. Since graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor’s of Science in Finance and Marketing, Dan has gone on to found multiple businesses, oversee and contribute to their exponential growth, and successfully sell those businesses. Dan excels at managing professional relationships, identifying opportunities, and understanding the importance of timing in relation to business decision-making.
In his community, Dan participates in the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, and the CEO Round Table. When he’s not working, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife Sonia, his daughters, and his border collie lab Mason. His hobbies include traveling to warm destinations, golfing, working out, biking, attending his church’s bible study and readers group, and cheering for Minnesota sports.
I bring over thirty years’ experience to my role as a Transworld Business Advisor. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Business from Syracuse University. Early in my career I managed multi-million-dollar retail stores, hired and trained winning teams and provided comprehensive, systematic analysis and evaluation of the business environment, recognizing opportunities and recommending action plans for increased performance.
Raised in a family of entrepreneurs, conversations revolved around business strategies and the importance of putting customer’s needs first. Today, I use those lessons to help my clients. I’m thrilled to be part of this global network of brokers assisting buyers and sellers realize their dream.
Originally from Connecticut I’ve been a Minnesota resident for over 20 years. I am an Ambassador for the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, a member of TeamWomenMN and volunteer for two non-profits, VEAP, and Act United.
After completing 40 years of leadership roles in the food business, Ray is working as a Transworld Business Advisor to utilize his gained knowledge to assist sellers and buyers in achieving their very best experiences in divestiture and acquisition of businesses. His experience in an industry as diverse as food affords him the benefit of having worked with multifaceted business structures while gaining a clear understanding of process and operations. Ray’s performance with creative problem solving and working closely with business leaders in accomplishing their goals makes for a great formula for assisting you in achieving your successes. This insight affords Ray the knowledge to provide an in-depth understanding of your business and how best to meet your needs.
Bringing over 30 years of experience working in leadership roles with the Fortune 500 and owning his own companies for many years, Mark appreciates the need for professionalism. Not only in the sale or purchase of a business, but also in learning about the details of the business. This passion for learning the details and quick recall of the facts gives Mark an advantage when talking about and marketing your business to others.
Mark understands, from his own experiences in buying and selling his businesses, the motivations of an entrepreneur to make a wise initial investment and, when the time comes, create a profitable exit. He uses this experience to strategize, advise and guide buyers and sellers through the processes of their own businesses transitions.
Stephen Welliver, of Wellson Group, Inc. has over 30 years experience in real estate, mortgage banking, vegetation management, and forest resource consulting. His Real Estate Brokerage is uniquely located in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, the center of the outdoor and recreation world in Northern Minnesota.
Stephen Welliver specializes in the sale and acquisition of forest land and recreational property for clients that are looking for outdoor opportunities and a long term investment. His background and experience provide the expertise needed in the area of recreation property. Property enhancement services, boundary establishment, digitized mapping, GIS-GPS services and timber financial analysis are many of the services Wellson Group, Inc. can offer their customers.
As an office support team member for Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, I assist with all functions of our office; everything from interviews to taking notes. As Scott’s wife, I’ve also been helping with all aspects of our business since we opened the office in November of 2015. Two things I’m especially proud of in our business is our emphasis on teamwork and the way we interact with our clients. At Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, we understand and empathize with our clients as we help them through the process of buying or selling a business. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children, gardening, yard work, golfing, and teaching Sunday School at our church.
As an office manager for Transworld Business Advisors of Minnesota, I am involved in all aspects of our business office. I am involved with everything from accounting to managing Salesforce.com. I enjoy working with numbers and leading projects, as well as being part of a team effort to achieve our goals. I’ve been working with Scott since 1997, and am proud of the team commitment we provide our clients when they are looking to buy or sell a business. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, gardening, and reading.

I enjoy the variety of work and learning new things. I have worked with Scott for nearly 20 years, and am proud to be a part of a team that focuses on closely interacting with clients throughout their entire buying and selling process. In my spare time, I enjoy working in my flower garden, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
